Our Story

Their Story

A Journey of Love, Service & Legacy

Some stories are good to know. Some stories are worth reading. And some stories deserve to be narrated.

Not a fairy tale told in a few pages. Not an epic written in the pages of history.

But a journey...

A journey that began more than 40 years ago. A journey built on love, responsibility and unwavering commitment.

This is not a story inspired by real incidents. This is a story lived every single day.

This is the story of my father and mother...
Sri Gadde Bali Reddy and Smt. Gadde Leelavathi.

Two hearts united on 25th June 1986.

Together they built a home, nurtured a family, overcame challenges, celebrated victories, and created a legacy that continues to grow through their children and grandchildren.

While one dedicated his life to serving society with honor and integrity through the Andhra Pradesh Police Department, the other stood beside him as a pillar of strength, love, and support.

Their journey was never measured by awards received, promotions earned, or years completed. It was measured by the lives they touched, the values they instilled, and the family they built.

Today, as we celebrate the retirement of Sri Gadde Bali Reddy after more than three decades of dedicated service, we do not merely look back at a career. We celebrate a life.

A devoted husband. A loving father. A proud grandfather. A respected police officer. And above all, a remarkable human being.

This website is a humble tribute to their journey. A journey that shaped our lives. A journey that taught us the meaning of dedication, discipline, resilience, and unconditional love.

Because of them, we are who we are today. And because of them, generations to come will continue to carry forward the values they lived by.

This is not merely the story of our family—it is a tribute to every parent who silently bears life's burdens, makes endless sacrifices, and works tirelessly so their children can dream bigger, achieve more, and live better.

This is their story.
A story of service. A story of family. A story of legacy.

Our view of the world he faced

A Reflection from the Children

As children, we saw the uniform. We saw the discipline, the dedication, and the respect that came with it.

But there was so much that we never saw.

We never truly witnessed the long days spent under the scorching summer sun, the endless nights during emergencies, or the countless hours of duty in rain, wind, and harsh conditions.

We never experienced the challenges of unfamiliar places, temporary accommodations, or meals missed because duty called first.

Today, in a world connected by smartphones, video calls, and instant deliveries, it is difficult to imagine a time when communication was limited to handwritten letters and the occasional landline call — if one was available at all.

There were no mobile phones. No internet. No instant messages. No Swiggy. No Zomato.
Just commitment, patience, and a sense of responsibility that never wavered.

There were days when he was far from home, serving in places unfamiliar to us and facing challenges unknown to us. Yet he rarely spoke about those hardships.

Not because they did not exist.

But because he understood something profound.

He knew that sharing every struggle would burden the hearts waiting for him at home. So he carried many of those challenges silently, allowing us to grow up with comfort, confidence, and peace of mind.

What seemed ordinary to us then was, in reality, the result of extraordinary sacrifice.

Behind every festival he missed, every family gathering he could not attend, every long journey away from home, was a commitment to both his duty and his family.

Only today do we realize how much he endured so that we could have opportunities he never had, comforts he never demanded, and a future he worked tirelessly to build.

Many of those struggles went unnoticed.
Many of those sacrifices went unspoken.
But none of them were in vain.

Because every sacrifice became a stepping stone for the lives we live today.
And for that, we remain forever grateful.

The Woman Behind Our Story

Smt. Gadde Leelavathi

Every great story has a hero whose contributions are visible to the world. But some heroes work quietly behind the scenes, never seeking recognition, never expecting appreciation, and never asking for anything in return.

For our family, that hero is my mother, Smt. Gadde Leelavathi.

She hails from a remote village and had little or no formal education. Yet, perhaps because she understood what it meant to live without educational opportunities, she realized the true value of education better than anyone else.

There is something I have never said publicly before, but this is perhaps the most appropriate place to say it.

"My mother was never the reason for my absence from school."

It may sound like a simple statement, but behind those words lies a lifetime of sacrifice.

While people often describe work as a 9-to-5 responsibility, her day began long before sunrise. At 4:30 in the morning, while the rest of the family slept, she was already awake. And her responsibilities rarely ended before 9:00, 9:30, or sometimes even 10:00 at night.

She took care of everything.

Preparing meals.

Sending us to tuition classes.

Getting us ready for school.

Managing the household.

Washing clothes by hand in an era before washing machines became common.

Looking after every small detail that kept our family moving forward.

There were days when school fees were delayed, and she was the one who faced the questions, the explanations, and the embarrassment that often came with financial limitations.

Today's children may never fully understand this reality. In a world of instant UPI transfers, online banking, and digital payments, it is difficult to imagine a time when money was physical, limited, and carefully accounted for.

Every month, she managed the household with remarkable discipline. The salary brought home was not merely spent — it was planned, stretched, and protected.

Every rupee had a purpose. Every expense required thought.

If money ran out, there was no instant transfer, no credit card, and no online loan. One either borrowed with dignity or waited patiently until the next salary arrived.

Yet somehow, despite all these challenges, she ensured that her children never felt deprived of opportunities.

What amazes me most is that she was never paid for this work.

There were no promotions. No awards. No certificates. No retirement benefits. No public recognition.

And yet, she performed her duties with a commitment and dedication that would rival any professional career.

There are countless situations she handled, countless sacrifices she made, and countless struggles she endured that may never be fully documented. Hardships that she carried quietly so that her children could dream freely.

Today, when we look at the lives we have built, the education we received, and the opportunities we were given, we recognize that much of it was made possible by her sacrifices.

Not sacrifices made for wealth. Not sacrifices made for status.

But sacrifices made for something far more valuable — a better future for her children.

The life we live today is a reflection of her determination, her resilience, and her unconditional love.

If our father's journey taught us discipline and dedication, our mother's journey taught us perseverance, sacrifice, and selfless love.

And for that, we remain forever grateful.
This chapter of our story belongs to her.

The Roots Beyond Our Home

Our Extended Family & the Bonds That Shaped Us

Every family has a story. But some stories are possible only because they are supported by countless other stories woven around them.

As we celebrate this milestone today, our thoughts naturally turn toward the people who have walked alongside us throughout this journey.

Great people often go unnoticed. They do not seek recognition. They do not wish to stand in the spotlight. They quietly become the strength behind someone's success.

Today, we realize that reaching this milestone would have been unimaginable without many such people.

Our paternal and maternal families are vast and deeply rooted, much like a banyan tree whose branches continue to grow while remaining connected to the same foundation.

Through every stage of life, they have stood beside us.

They shared our joys.

They helped us carry our responsibilities.

They offered guidance during difficult times.

They became part of every celebration.

They welcomed us into their homes and hearts with warmth and affection.

When challenges appeared, they stood with us. When happiness arrived, they celebrated with us. When responsibilities became overwhelming, they helped lighten the burden.

Looking back, we realize that our journey was never ours alone. It was strengthened by the love, encouragement, and goodwill of an extended family that never allowed us to feel alone.

What makes this occasion even more special is that this celebration is not just ours.

In many ways, our extended family is even more excited and proud of this milestone than we are. Because they have witnessed the journey. They have seen the struggles. They have celebrated the achievements. And they understand the sacrifices behind every step.

Some of my most cherished memories are not tied to events or places, but to relationships. The affectionate calls of:

"Anna..." "Mama..." "Chinnanna..." "Pedhananna..." "Akka..." "Atta..." "Pinnamma..." "Pedhamma..."

These are not merely forms of address. They are expressions of belonging. They are reminders that we are part of something larger than ourselves.

Even today, there is a unique joy in hearing those familiar voices call out to us, share their stories, offer their blessings, and make us feel connected no matter how far apart we may be.

This celebration is therefore not just a tribute to one individual or one family. It is a celebration of an entire network of relationships that nurtured, supported, and uplifted us throughout the years.

To every member of our extended family —

Thank you for being part of our story.

Thank you for standing with us during difficult times.

Thank you for celebrating our happiest moments.

Thank you for sharing our responsibilities as though they were your own.

And thank you for reminding us that family is not measured by distance, but by love, care, and togetherness.

This milestone belongs to all of us.

Big... Bigger... Biggest

The Beautiful Expansion of Our Family

Life has a beautiful way of expanding the meaning of family. What once seemed complete somehow finds room to grow even more.

When we look back fifteen years from today, our family was a family of four. A father. A mother. A daughter. A son.

Simple. Close-knit. Complete.

Then life began adding new chapters.

Our family became five when my brother-in-law became part of our lives. Soon after, it became six when my partner in crime joined our family.

What started as a family of four gradually became a larger family bound together by love, trust, and shared memories.

And then came the most delightful chapter of all.

The arrival of a new generation. First came tiny footsteps. Then came innocent smiles. Soon followed endless questions, laughter, games, stories, and celebrations.

Today, the joyful presence of two grandsons and three granddaughters has transformed our home in ways that words can hardly describe.

Dhruvan Isha Deeksha Mahanya Ajith

Five little hearts.

Five unique personalities.

Five beautiful reasons to smile every single day.

Their laughter fills every corner of the house. Their energy turns ordinary days into memorable ones. Their presence reminds us that life continues to blossom in the most wonderful ways.

For grandparents, time seems to move differently. A day spent with grandchildren feels like a festival. And yet, somehow, twenty-four hours never seem enough.

No matter how much time they spend together, there is always one more story to tell.

One more game to play.

One more hug to share.

One more memory to create.

Watching my parents with their grandchildren is perhaps one of the most heartwarming chapters of their journey.

The responsibilities that once defined parenthood have now transformed into the pure joy of grandparenthood.

The strict father has become the indulgent grandfather. The busy mother has become the endlessly patient grandmother.

And the home they spent decades building is now filled with a new generation carrying forward their love, values, and legacy.

What began as a family of four has grown into something much bigger. Much richer. Much more beautiful.

A family connected not only by relationships, but by memories, laughter, traditions, and unconditional love.

Big. Bigger. Biggest.

Friends

The Family We Choose

Friends. A simple word. Yet it carries a meaning far greater than its length.

Life teaches us that family is our first circle of strength. But it also teaches us something equally important.

When family is far away, the people around us become family.

They become the shoulders we lean on.

The voices that encourage us.

The companions who walk beside us through both ordinary and extraordinary moments.

They give us strength when we are tired. They fill our loneliness when we are away from home. They celebrate our successes. They stand beside us during difficulties.

They tease us. Argue with us. Shout at us. Fight with us. Laugh with us.

And somehow, despite all of that, remain an inseparable part of our lives.

Throughout his journey, Sri Gadde Bali Reddy earned many such friendships. Some began in childhood. Some during school days. Some during training. Many more during his years of service.

Different places. Different times. Different circumstances. Yet each friendship added a chapter to his story.

Even today, one of the most enjoyable things for us as a family is listening to him revisit those memories.

The stories from school days that begin with a smile and end with uncontrollable laughter.

The training days where challenges seemed impossible at the time but have now become unforgettable memories.

The workplace incidents that are narrated with such enthusiasm that they feel as though they happened yesterday.

Every gathering with old friends seems to transport them back in time. For a few moments, responsibilities disappear. Age disappears. The years disappear. And they become the same young men who once shared dreams, struggles, adventures, and ambitions together.

Listening to those conversations, one realizes that true friendship is not measured by how often people meet. It is measured by how effortlessly they reconnect.

Years may pass. Cities may change. Responsibilities may grow. Yet a genuine friendship remains untouched by time.

Many of these friends stood beside him during some of the most important moments of his life.

Some shared rooms during training.

Some shared duties during challenging postings.

Some shared meals when resources were limited.

Some shared laughter that made difficult days easier.

And many continue to share their friendship even today.

As we celebrate this milestone, we also celebrate those friendships. Because no meaningful journey is completed alone.

Behind every successful individual are countless people who walked alongside them, encouraged them, supported them, and helped make the journey worthwhile.

To all those friends who became family —

Thank you.

Thank you for the memories.

Thank you for the companionship.

Thank you for the laughter.

And thank you for being part of a story that continues to be told with pride, joy, and affection.

Because some friendships are not merely part of life.
They become part of who we are.

Thank You

A Note of Gratitude

Every journey has a beginning. Every journey has milestones. And every meaningful journey is made possible by the people who walk alongside us.

As we reach this special moment in our lives, we pause to reflect not only on the years that have passed, but also on the countless individuals who helped make those years meaningful.

A journey spanning more than three decades cannot be measured solely by years of service, achievements, responsibilities, or milestones.

It is measured by relationships. By memories. By shared experiences. By the people who stood beside us through every season of life.

Today, with hearts filled with gratitude, we extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has been a part of this journey.

To our Family, who stood beside us through every challenge and every celebration.

To our Extended Family, whose love, encouragement, and unwavering support made us feel stronger at every stage of life.

To our Friends, who brought laughter to difficult days, companionship during lonely times, and memories that continue to bring smiles even today.

To his Colleagues, who shared responsibilities, experiences, and countless moments throughout the years.

To his Seniors, who guided, mentored, encouraged, and helped shape the path ahead.

To his Juniors, whose respect, support, and friendship made the journey even more rewarding.

To the Officers and Staff who served alongside us, sharing both the burdens and the pride that come with a life of service.

And to every individual, whether mentioned here or not, who became part of our story in ways big or small —

Thank you.

Thank you for your kindness.

Thank you for your support.

Thank you for your friendship.

Thank you for your trust.

Thank you for your presence.

Most importantly, thank you for being part of this journey.

Some of you were with us from the very beginning. Some joined along the way. Some walked beside us for a short distance. Others have remained throughout the entire journey.

But each of you has left a mark that will always be remembered.

As one chapter comes to a close and another begins, we carry forward not just memories, but the blessings, friendships, relationships, and goodwill that have enriched our lives.

This celebration belongs not only to our family, but to everyone who has been part of our journey.

Thank you for walking this path with us.

With gratitude, respect, and affection,
